CHARLESTON, S.C. (May 22, 2013) – US Club Soccer and the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) have announced that the 2013 ECNL / id2 National Training Camp will take place August 2-6 at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Ore.

At the camp, around 100 of the top female soccer players born between 1995 and 1998 from across the United States will come together for three full days of elite training, competition, and presentations at one of the world’s premier athletic facilities, where U.S. Soccer staff will scout players for potential inclusion in U.S. Soccer’s National Team Programs.

The 2013 ECNL / id2 National Training Camp is a joint effort between US Club Soccer’s id2 National Player Identification and Development Program, the ECNL and Nike. The camp is open to all players regardless of U.S. Soccer affiliation, or lack thereof. Olympic Development Program status applies to all id2 Program events, including the 2013 ECNL / id2 National Training Camp.

Over the weeks leading up to the 2013 NPL Champions Cup, we will be taking a look at all aspects of the tournament through a multi-part Web series each Thursday.

To keep up with the series and other NPL news:

From July 18-22, champions of each of the 17 National Premier Leagues will gather at Aurora Sports Park in suburban Denver for the 2013 NPL Champions Cup, US Club Soccer's league-based national championship competition.

There, boys and girls teams in the U-13 through U-18 age groups will face off for national titles in a true "champions league" style competition, looking to build on the success of the inaugural event last summer, which featured U-13 through U-17/18 boys teams.

The 2012 NPL Champions Cup was held alongside the National Cup XI Finals from July 27-31 at Waukegan Sports Park outside Chicago, including 168 of the top teams from across the United States.
