Chris Baer named General Manager of National Premier Leagues
CHARLESTON, S.C. (Feb. 1, 2012) - Chris Baer has been named the General Manager of the National Premier Leagues effective immediately. In this position, Chris will assist in the expansion and growth of the NPL, manage local NPL administrators, and work to build continuity in programming around the country.
Chris will maintain his duties as US Club Soccer’s North Central Membership Services Representative until the position has been filled with a permanent replacement.

Inaugural Maryland Cup to be held April 28-29

CHARLESTON, S.C. (Jan. 31, 2012) – US Club Soccer has announced that the inaugural Maryland Cup, US Club Soccer’s state championship event for U-10 through U-18/19 boys’ and girls’ teams, will be held April 28-29 at Carroll County Parks and Recreation Fields. The deadline to submit applications for the event is April 18.
Teams in the U-10 and U-11 divisions will play 8 v 8, while teams in the U-13 through U-18/19 divisions will play 11 v 11. Teams in the U-12 age group will have the option to play in either format.
Multiple levels of competition will be available with brackets for both Recreation Travel and Travel teams. The Recreation Travel level will be a state competition only while winners at the Travel level will earn a free berth to a National Cup XI Regional event.
