| 2013 EVENT ADMINISTRATION AND OPERATIONS INTERNSHIP: |
OVERVIEW:
US Club Soccer would like to extend the following opportunities during the summer of 2013 to those interested in understanding the off-the-field logistics that go into executing a premier soccer event.
These positions are ideal for sport management students at colleges and universities who wish to gain additional experience in the industry and/or must complete volunteer requirements as part of his or her curriculum.
Interns will gain hands-on experience through aiding in the planning, on-site execution and oversight of 2013 National Cup XII and National Premier League events.
Internship/Practicum dates are from Mid May through last week of July.
DESCRIPTION:
This individual(s) will assist the on-site event manager by providing administrative and operational support.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Staging of product
• Assisting with team registration
• Equipment management
• Merchandise sales
• Daily field set-up
• Hydration management
• Score reporting
• Event breakdown
• Referee liaison
• Coordinating volunteer
OTHER SPECIFICS:
• Interns will not be required to relocate; rather, the intern(s) will travel to selected tournament from his or her current location.
• Interns may be required to attend an orientation in Charleston, S.C., in May prior to the 2013 National Cup XII and NPL Events.
COMPENSATION:
$200/event. Transportation, lodging and meals will be provided.
RETAIL INTERNSHIP:
For those interested in the Retail aspect of events, a specific position will be created to handle Retail Sales, Customer Service, Inventory, Social Network sales efforts, Business Planning and Advertising, Retail personnel management, etc. Please note in your application if you have interest in such position.
EVENTS:
Dates and locations for National Cup XII events to which interns may be required to travel
OTHER EVENTS:
In addition to the National Cup XII Events, there will be a series of National Premier League finals as well as Player Development Programs, which the internship will partake.

| 2013 MERCHANDISING AND RETAIL INTERNSHIP: |
US Club Soccer would like to extend the following opportunities during the summer of 2013 to those interested in understanding Merchandising and Retail at premier soccer event.
These positions are ideal for retail students at colleges and universities who wish to gain additional experience in the industry and/or must complete internship requirements as part of his or her curriculum.
Interns will gain hands-on experience through aiding in the planning, on-site execution and oversight of our retail stores during 2013 National Cup XII and National Premier League events.
Internship/Practicum dates are from Mid May through last week of July.

This individual(s) will manage the on-site retail shops by promoting apparel, leading merchandise sales and providing administrative and operational support to the Director of Event Marketing and Operations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Staging of product
• Determining placement for retail stores
• Merchandise sales
• Daily store set-up
• Promotion related to on-site sales
• Coordination with online sales efforts
• Managing store personnel
• Event breakdown
• Reporting e-commerce and CC sales
• Administering retail signage
OTHER SPECIFICS:
• Interns will not be required to relocate; rather, the intern(s) will travel to selected tournament from his or her current location.
