Fees for the 2008/2009 registration year are:
Competitive Teams: $16 per player, for all players U12 and above, and $12 per player for players younger than U12. The fee is all inclusive, and includes secondary medical and liability insurance.
Rec and Super Rec Teams: $8 per player for rec and $10 per player for super rec. Rec players do not need player cards and do not register online, but via an Excel roster form. Super rec is a limited category for rec players who may need a card for local area competitions only. The fees are all inclusive, and include secondary medical and liability insurance.
Adult Teams: $25 per player. The fee is all-inclusive and includes both liability and medical insurance.
Fees for registering competitive, super rec, and adult coaches and other staff are $15 per individual, and the registration is good for two years. Fees cover the cost of insurance and risk management checks. A coach needs only one passcard to coach any team within the club.
For 2008/2009, there are no additional fees for other services, such as tournament, league, or other competition sanctioning. No travel permissions are required at any time.
How to Register as a Club
Please review the Membership Information for the different categories of membership. To become a club member of US Club Soccer, go to Apply now, complete the club member registration form and submit it to us as indicated. We'll review your information and get back to you promptly, usually in a couple of days.
Clubs and academies place an initial deposit of $1,000 at the time of their application, to be used for player and staff card fees. If the application is rejected, the deposit shall be returned via a credit applied to your credit card.
Once your registration has been received and accepted by us, a password will be sent to the email address designated as the club registrar’s on your application. This will allow access to the Member’s Only section of the website. From there, you will have access to additional member information on inputting your player information, passcard requests, sanctioning, etc, and may begin the player registration process.
Other than for rec players who do not need a player card, all player and staff registration is done online, from entering the data to requesting the passcards. The data does not need to be re-entered in subsequent years. The registrar decides which club coaches or managers, if any, will have access to input player information, request passcards, and create rosters.
Players can be moved between teams, official rosters can be created and printed, etc. An initial proof of birthdate document for a new player (renewals do not need to submit another copy), and an annual risk management form for staff is submitted online. Youth player medical treatment authorizations and waivers are required, but are kept by the team.
Passcards are emailed in a .pdf format, and then processed by the club or league team itself.
