US Club Soccer partners with Ford and iSoccer for the Ford Escape Soccer Skills Challenge

CHARLESTON, S.C. (Sept. 25, 2012) - The Ford Escape Soccer Skills Challenge was hosted by the Force FC Invitational Sept. 21-23 at West Hills Middle School in West Bloomfield, Mich. Ford has partnered with US Club Soccer and iSoccer, the nation's premier online skills assessment tool, to allow boys and girls, ages 8-13, to test their individual skills against others in their age group.
The top scorers from each of six age divisions received a first-place FESSC regional trophy as well as U.S. National Team jersey, while the second- through fifth-place winners went home with an FESSC finalist trophy. Each challenge participant also received a free two-month iSoccer Plus membership on which they could enter their scores and follow their progress.
Each challenge participant was given 20 seconds to complete as many sets of the six iSoccer skills as possible; toe taps, foundations, left and right footed juggling, and figure-eights with the right and left foot. iSoccer founder Scott Leber was on site to assist and motivate those involved in the friendly competition.
Of the 150 weekend participants, 20 had participated at a skills challenge put on by a local dealership and advanced from their age division to this Great Lakes regional.
