Champions crowned at Northeast Pre-Academy League Playoffs

Three teams claimed championships this weekend at the Northeast Pre-Academy League Playoffs, as titles were awarded in the U-13 through U-15 divisions. A full list of winners is below:
U-13: PDA 7 - New York Cosmos Academy 1
U-14: New York Red Bulls 4 - Baltimore Bays Chelsea 2
U-15: New York Cosmos Academy 3 - New York Red Bulls 1
These champions will advance to the inaugural National Premier Leagues (NPL) Champions Cup, where NPL national championships will be awarded. That event will be held July 27-31 at Waukegan Sports Park in Waukegan, Ill.

The pairings for Sunday's championship games are:
U-13: PDA vs. New York Cosmos Academy
U-14: New York Red Bulls vs. Baltimore Bays Chelsea
U-15: New York Cosmos Academy vs. New York Red Bulls

The Northeast Pre-Academy League will host its playoffs this weekend on June 9-10 at Classics Park in Manheim, Pa. The top four teams in the U-13, U-14, and U-15 age groups have qualified for the playoffs. Semifinal games will be played on Saturday with championship and consolation games being held on Sunday.
