Youth World Series Event on Tap in Burlington, N.C.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (Aug. 27, 2007) - US Club Soccer is hosting a Youth World Series jamboree in Burlington, N.C. from Oct. 6-7. The Youth World Series provides an introductory tournament experience to US Club Soccer’s youngest members.

Youth World Series events are open to all US Club Soccer boys and girls’ academy, club and league teams. Under-9 through Under-12 age groups will contest the Burlington, N.C. jamboree at Springwood Park on Oct. 6-7.

Champions for these stand-alone tournaments will be crowned in each age group. Game sizes will consist of 6-v-6 for U9-U10 teams, 8-v-8 for U11-U12 teams and the standard 11-v-11 for U13 teams. Scouting will occur at all ages for US Club Soccer’s player identification program, id2.

Additional 2008 Youth World Series events will be announced shortly. US Club Soccer administers all Youth World Series events in cooperation with a local host. More information can be found at the official Youth World Series page at www.usclubsoccer.org.
