U.S. Soccer Coaching Symposiums to be held Sept. 10-11 (Columbus, Ohio) and Oct. 15-16 (Kansas City)
U.S. Soccer’s Coaching Education Department will host Coaching Symposiums Sept. 10-11 (Columbus, Ohio) and Oct. 15-16 (Kansas City) in conjunction with the U.S. Men’s National Team’s World Cup Qualifying Matches.
The first symposium in Columbus will focus on how to manage playing in the second leg in World Cup Qualifying while the Kansas City symposium will focus on style, strategy and multi-match trends and patterns. Both symposiums will be led by U.S. Soccer Director of Coaching Dave Chesler and will give attendees an “insider’s” view of 2014 World Cup Qualifying.
Registration for the symposium includes two days of educational presentations and discussions, an opportunity with exclusive seating to observe a U.S. MNT training session, match ticket, pre-game reception, pre-game field access and a U.S. Soccer CoachesNet Scouting and Training Notebook. The cost for the symposium is $250 for active U.S. Soccer CoachesNet members and $260 for non-members. Registration is open to all U.S. Soccer-licensed coaches.
All coaches are eligible to receive a $25 discount when registering for both symposiums.
“This symposium will give coaches a unique opportunity to examine the USA’s preparations prior to a major international competition,” said U.S. Soccer Director of Coaching Education Dave Chesler.
U.S. Soccer “A” licensed coaches can earn two (2) “Continuing Education Units” for attending each symposium and completing a written technical component related to the match.
