The Champions Cup is an invitational tournament that allows some of the most competitive clubs in the country the opportunity to compare their entire club against other top clubs, thereby promoting club loyalty and year-round club competition, and motivating other clubs to build top to bottom competitive club programs.

The 2008 edition of the Champions Cup will consist of a boys and girls' competition contested over Easter weekend, March 20-23, at:
- David Maus Toyota Seminole Soccer Complex in Sanford, Fla. outside of Orlando

The 40-acre David Maus Toyota Seminole Soccer Complex includes 11 fields, one of which is a soccer specific stadium seating 3,000 spectators. The complex is located approximately 20 miles north of downtown Orlando.
2008 Champions Cup Travel Information

2008 Champions Cup Quick Facts
- In 2008, US Club Soccer will conduct both a boys and a girls’
Champions Cup. The boys’ event is available to U.S. Soccer Development
Academy programs, as well as other competitive clubs, some of whom have
or will likely apply for Development Academy membership in the future.
- The 2008 Champions Cup will be contested over Easter Weekend, March
20-23, with a minimum target of six clubs per gender with three age
groups. The competition will be held at David Maus Toyota Seminole
Soccer Complex in Sanford, Fla. outside of Orlando.
- Age Groups:
- BOYS:Given the participation of the US Soccer Development Academy teams, each participating club will field teams in U14 ('93s), U16 ('91s) and U18 ('89s) age groups (calendar year birth dates). As always, the clubs’ other players may play up to participate.
- GIRLS: The standard U13 (8/94-7/95), U15 (8/92-7/93), U17/U18 (8/90-7/91 for U17; 8/89-7/90 for U18) (registration year birth dates). U17 teams may include a maximum of five U18 players.
- Game Schedule
- Individual age group winners will be recognized, but the champion
will be the club with the most cumulative points from its three age
groups at the end of the competition, thus making all games and all age
group competitions meaningful for the participating clubs. Both a boys
and a girls' champion will be crowned.
- Substitution Clarification: Unlimited Substituions and may occur at any stoppage.

Profile books listing rosters and contact info for the attending
boys' U16 and U18 teams and girls' U17/U18 teams are available on-site.
You can also request one by emailing championscup@usclubsoccer.org.
- Boys U16 & U18 and Girls U17/U18 Team Managers: If you want your players' profiles to be included in the college profile book for the Champions Cup, you need to have all the players' data input into Gotsoccer by Monday, March 10. To input your players' data:
- Go to Gotsoccer's Soccer Scheduler - www.soccerscheduler.com.
- Click on "Soccer Teams" in the menu on the left column.
- Log in using the login information you set up when you applied your team for the Champions Cup.
- Once logged in, click on the "Roster" link in the gray horizontal menubar.
- Add your players' profiles by clicking the "Add Player" button in the bottom left. Edit your players' profiles by clicking on the respective link for each player under the ID column.
On-site Registration Information
Registration for the Champions Cup will take place at the Dave Maus Toyota Seminole Soccer Complex, March 19th from 5pm-7pm and March 20th from 11am-1pm.
At registration each team should have:
- For Non-Academy Teams: A valid US Club Soccer player card
for all players and the US Club Soccer tournament roster downloaded and
printed from the club’s website information (up to 26 players). Medical
authorizations also will be required for all players at check-in. Valid
US Club Soccer staff cards will be required for all coaches and the
team manager.
- For Academy Teams: A valid U.S. Soccer player card for all players and the U.S. Soccer tournament roster (up to 26 players). Medical authorizations also will be required for all players at check-in. Valid U.S. Soccer staff cards will be required for all coaches and the team manager.
Any Non-Academy Team that has not registered its initial team by Monday, March 10, 2008 (including submitting paperwork and fees) shall be subject to a surcharge for expedited card processing. Cards issued at the tournament site are subject to a surcharge of $4 per card.
