By US Club Soccer, 08/02/19, 12:00PM EDT

The deadlines for boys and girls teams in New York to apply to the 2019-20 NY Cup are fast approaching. For 9-U through 14-U teams, that deadline – after a recent extension – is Aug. 6. And for 15-U through 19-U teams, the registration deadline is Aug. 30.

More than 725 teams participated in the state championship event this past year, and winners of their respective divisions earn qualification to US Club Soccer’s National Cup XIX.

The competition, which is hosted by the New York Club Soccer League (NYCSL), features multiple levels: Gold (most competitive), Silver and Bronze. The younger age groups begin play in September, while the older divisions kick off in March. Group stage games precede single-elimination knockout rounds.

Beginning in 2018, the NY Cup has added a Final Four Regional component to the competition to also feature top teams from the NYCSL Metro, NYCSL PL D1 and Connecticut Club Soccer League PL D1. Click here for a recap of the 2019 NY Cup.
