KANSAS CITY, Kansas | The registration deadlines for the inaugural Central States Cup are approaching in the next two months. The 2019 Central States Cup features 11-U through 19-U boys and girls teams from Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa. For the youngest age groups – 11-U through 14-U – the registration deadline is Sept. 27, while the older divisions’ registration deadline is Oct. 18.
Led by Central States NPL, this state championship event is hosted by Sporting Fields + Athletic and MUSC/KC Fusion. It is open to all US Club Soccer members in the region, including NPL and ECNL (boys and girls) teams.
The Central States Cup consists of two levels of competition, Super Group (most competitive) and Premier Group. The 11-U and 12-U age groups will play a 9v9 format, while all other age groups will play 11v11. All teams play at least three games, and the champions of the 13-U and older divisions advance to the National Cup Midwest Regional.
For 11-U through 14-U competing teams, the Central States Cup will be held Oct. 26-27. For 15-U through 19-U age groups, the competition takes place Nov. 23-24. All games will take place at Wyandotte Sporting Fields in Kansas City, Kansas.
