As Players First partners continue to grow, so do the opportunities afforded to US Club Soccer members. Player’s Health, a Players First partner dedicated to the Player Health & Safety pillar, recently partnered with ImPACT Applications, the developer of ImPACT®, ImPACT Pediatric®, and ImPACT Passport™, to provide concussion testing protocols to help sports organizations and parents monitor athletes for concussions.

Because of that partnership, US Club Soccer members can now receive special access to ImPACT concussion testing. The in-home baseline testing is available at a discounted rate of $4 per player to all US Club Soccer members, while Players First-licensed clubs receive a $3 per athlete price. Parents can purchase this individually for their children, or clubs can purchase in bulk amounts. To learn more, please visit this Player’s Health inquiry web page.

Player’s Health mobile technology promotes real-time communication between coaches and parents to best care for the health and well-being of these players, with HIPAA-compliant interface that simplifies the flow of athlete health information between parents, coaches and health care providers. Player’s Health will now incorporate an option to obtain FDA-approved concussion assessments through its app.

“ImPACT is a trusted name in concussion testing, and we’re proud to extend our partnership to US Club Soccer members,” said Tyrre Burks, founder and CEO of Player’s Health. “Our Players First partnership with US Club Soccer is incredibly important to us, and we stand with them in prioritizing Player Health & Safety.”

“The best clubs focus on more than results on the field. That’s what Players First is all about: creating an environment that encourages holistic development for players and parents on and off the field,” said Kevin Payne, CEO of US Club Soccer. “We’re grateful to have a partner like Player’s Health that shares our emphasis on Player Health & Safety.”

US Club Soccer has been consistent that Player Health & Safety is the organization’s most important responsibility to its members. US Club Soccer has implemented a rigorous background screening system for registered coaches, as well as online courses for injury recognition (through Sideline Sports Doc) and SafeSport.

Player’s Health is well integrated with US Club Soccer. For the past two summers, Player’s Health has supplied certified athletic trainers and its mobile technology solutions to the sidelines of US Club Soccer’s ENPL National Finals, Girls NPL Finals and National Cup Finals.

Last year, Player’s Health introduced its Safety Needs Assessment online tool, a series of questions to help determine if your sports organization is effectively utilizing proper safety practices in sports, and potential barriers to these practices. Burks then provided a walkthrough of the needs assessment in a US Club Soccer live webinar.
