Registration remains open for the 2020 Florida Cup until January 13. The 16th annual Florida Cup will begin preliminary play this month. The preliminary rounds will continue through April for the 11-U through 19-U participants before the semi-finals and final are held May 9-10 at Viera Regional Park, in Melbourne, Florida.
Open to US Club Soccer member teams in Florida, the Florida Cup is hosted by the Florida Premiership. 11-U and 12-U competitors will play 9 vs. 9 single elimination matches, while 13-U through 19-U will play 11 vs. 11. Champions of the 13-U and older divisions will advance directly to the National Cup XIX Finals, to be held July 17-21 in Commerce City, Colorado.
While the higher seed will host the lower seed throughout the preliminary rounds, game times are flexible, as each round can be played any day or time within a specified window of time. After participating teams are seeded, a bracket will be released. More rules are available on the Florida Premiership website.
Teams must hold US Club Soccer passcards at the time of the event in order to participate. Teams currently not carded with US Club Soccer may do so by contacting Membership Services Representative Kevin McGovern at firstname.lastname@example.org or (630) 346-7707.
