BALTIMORE, Md. | The 2020 United Soccer Coaches Convention officially opens its exhibit hall doors Thursday evening, but classroom and field sessions in the Baltimore Convention Center get underway in the morning, highlighted by a US Club Soccer/LaLiga field session Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.
The field session, titled “LaLiga Methodology: The Progression Principle in the Training Session,” demonstrates how to train progression – the concept of efficiently breaking lines to move the ball up the field under control. It will be led by LaLiga methodology experts and UEFA-PRO coaches Hugo Blanco, Carlos Casal and Felipe Vega-Arango.
This is the fifth consecutive year that US Club Soccer and LaLiga have co-hosted sessions at the largest annual meeting of soccer coaches across the globe. While the field session is later today, there will also be a classroom session Friday from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. ET, titled “Introduction to LaLiga Methodology: Training Session Structure and Principles.”
US Club Soccer is presenting a robust booth (#500) in the exhibit hall, which opens Thursday night at 6 p.m. ET. Current and potential US Club Soccer members are invited to visit the booth and mingle with their respective membership services representative.
