BALTIMORE, Md. | The 2020 United Soccer Coaches Convention continues today, as US Club Soccer and LaLiga will co-host a classroom session from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. in Room 307/308 of the Baltimore Convention Center. The session is titled “Introduction to LaLiga Methodology: Training Session Structure and Principles,” and it will share valuable insight into philosophies used in LaLiga academies to develop world-class players. The ongoing LaLiga Formation Methodology coaching series will also be discussed, which is reaching new heights in 2020 with the first-ever Level 1-Spain course taking place next month.
UEFA-PRO coaches Hugo Blanco, Carlos Casal and Felipe Vega-Arango represent the brain trust of LaLiga methodologies in Baltimore. The trio delivered an insightful field session Thursday afternoon to a packed audience of attendees at the largest annual gathering of soccer coaches in the world. The field session demonstrated how to train progression.
This is the fifth consecutive year that US Club Soccer and LaLiga have co-hosted sessions at the United Soccer Coaches Convention, formerly known as the NSCAA Convention.
Other highlights on Friday include an exclusive breakfast for directors of Players First-licensed clubs, presented by Beyond Pulse, in which Changing The Game Project’s John O’Sullivan will engage in a Q&A and Beyond Pulse will share details of its Smart Belt offer to those Players First-licensed clubs. Additionally, US Club Soccer hosts the annual ENPL/NPL General Meeting late this afternoon to share platform updates, as the ENPL prepares to enter its third postseason and the NPL celebrates its 10th season.
The exhibit hall celebrated its grand opening Thursday night, and US Club Soccer is presenting a robust booth (#500). The exhibit hall is open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Current and potential US Club Soccer members are invited to visit the booth and meet with their respective membership services representative.
