US Club Soccer is now accepting early registration to the LaLiga Formation Methodology Level 3 course in Cleveland, Ohio until March 15. Level 3 courses represent the first phase of the LaLiga Formation Methodology coaching tract with Level 2 (intermediate) and Level 1 (expert) as the ensuing stages.
This particular course is hosted by the Central Alliance Soccer Association and in collaboration with the Great Lakes Alliance and CAPS FC.
LaLiga Formation Methodology is a staple of US Club Soccer's Players First initiative, which is a branded, holistic club soccer experience for parents and players, emphasizing the development of each individual to his or her full potential, and helping parents make better choices about where their children should play.
Through 18 courses to date, about 1,500 coaches from more than 400 clubs and organizations have been educated in LaLiga Formation Methodology. These courses help coaches form a methodological foundation that they can implement in their clubs. The methodological principles have been developed in Spanish academies to train some of the world’s best players.
The most recent course held in the series was the first-ever Level 1-Spain course in Madrid. Coaches who have completed a Level 3 course are eligible to attend a Level 2 course with additional stages for Level 1-U.S. and Level 1-Spain. There is a Level 2 course scheduled for July 31-Aug. 2 in nearby Dublin, Ohio.
LaLiga Formation Methodology is led by three UEFA-PRO coaches: Hugo Blanco, Carlos Casal and Felipe Vega-Arango. You can read more about all three experts’ impressive resumes on the course web page.
LaLiga Formation Methodology courses outline the philosophy and methods used across LaLiga to train, develop and form some of the world’s top players. The 2½-day courses includes theory and practical sessions both on and off the field. Coaches must complete the previous level course before advancing to the next.
Level 3 (introductory) topics include:
Registration remains available until June 1 or until venue capacity is reached. As the only Level 3 course on the calendar so far, this course is expected to draw coaches from around the country.
Early registration between now and March 15 is incentivized at $250/coach. After that, coaches within CASA and Great Lakes Alliance receive special pricing of $300/coach. Non-member coaches of those organizations are priced at $400/coach.
