As we previously announced last week, US Club Soccer made the difficult, but necessary, decision to cancel our 2020 national championship events scheduled for this summer in Colorado.
Our guiding principle remains the health and safety of everyone involved – players, parents, coaches, referees and staff. With that in mind, and given our members’ likely desire to favor local and regional competitions – with reduced travel and financial impact compared with national events – we intend to make decisions regarding our National Cup XIX Regionals on a per-event basis by May 6.
We are also extending the early application discount for each National Cup XIX Regional to May 15 (previously April 27), so you don’t have to make that decision this week.
As a reminder, here is our National Cup XIX Regional schedule:
In the meantime, please continue to do your part by abiding by public health officials’ guidelines on physical distancing, hygiene habits and facemask use. All our members are encouraged to browse usclubsoccer.org/coronavirus for a plethora of resources, including details on the Paycheck Protection Program, SBA Disaster Loan Program and the federal stimulus bill.
We can’t wait to see you again soon.
