In the latest expansion of Players First resources, Sportgo Lite is a now a Players First partner, supporting the Club Development and Coaching Development pillars and providing a resource to rec coaches.
Sportgo Lite offers free support to clubs that are constantly on the go. Sportgo’s website and mobile app allows clubs, leagues and teams to accelerate development with hundreds of personalized session plans, skill videos, animated drills and management tools.
US Club Soccer and Sportgo Lite encourage clubs to learn, connect and share through a variety of resources, including 64 pre-made session plans for 6-U, 8-U, 10-U and 12-U teams, with numerous customizable session plans available. Also, the Sportgo Lite website and mobile app provides users with more than 175 animated drills across eight categories and over 60 skill videos for player drills.
On Friday (Sept. 21) at 2 p.m. ET, Sportgo Lite will be featured in a Facebook Live session with US Club Soccer to discuss coaching development at the recreational level of youth soccer. This is part of US Club Soccer’s countdown to Players First licensing, which will be available to clubs beginning Oct. 15.
“We are excited to deliver the Sportgo education platform to our member clubs,” said Kevin Payne, US Club Soccer CEO. “The coaching tools, drills, practice plans and skills videos are a resource to our coaches at the youngest grassroots levels. The more support we can provide to our members, especially to volunteers at the rec level, the better they will be able to create enjoyable experiences for the players and families.”
Sportgo Lite joins a group of best-in-class Players First offerings. In particular, this is a significant resource to US Club Soccer’s base of youth recreational membership.
