TULSA, Okla. | Less than two years after its first-ever course, LaLiga Formation Methodology is continuing its sweep across the country. The latest Level 3 course in Oklahoma – held Jan. 12-14 at Oral Roberts University – educated 154 coaches from 19 clubs and 11 states.
The course was hosted by the Oklahoma Premier Clubs, a league that has entrenched US Club Soccer’s Players First philosophy into its programming. It came as no surprise then that the Oklahoma Premier Clubs jumped at the chance to host a LaLiga Formation Methodology course and bring the Coaching Development pillar of Players First directly to its backyard.
Several clubs brought their entire coaching staffs to learn LaLiga methodology. West Side Alliance (38), TSC Hurricane (34) and South Lakes SC (21), in particular, deserve special recognition. Those clubs are now first, second and fourth, respectively, in the LaLiga Formation Methodology club attendance leaderboard. River Valley FC (13), Oklahoma Celtic (11) and NEOFC (9) also showed significant investment in their coaching education.
The total number of coaches in attendance from this course now brings the grand total from 10 LaLiga Formation Methodology courses to about 1,100 coaches from 340 clubs and organizations.

“The impression that the LaLiga course methodology has made on the WSA coaching staff near-term is one of inspiration and motivation,” said Roger Bush, Executive Director of West Side Alliance. “This impact alone will be long-lasting and reaching.”
“This course is truly different than your normal license course,” added Jim Tindell, Executive Director of TSC Hurricane. “There is no doubt that the innovative methods and diverse viewpoints learned from the course – and the associated Kimet Planning tool – will be a game-changer for our coaches and player development. The coaches and clubs are motivated more than ever to get to work.”
During the course, LaLiga methodology experts Gari Fullaondo, Hugo Blanco and Zun Fullaondo showed coaches how to build a proper foundation for their clubs – one built on proven methodology and tactics. It was a 22-hour course that included various field and classroom sessions.
