2021-22 / Transition to GotSport

US Club Soccer has entered into a comprehensive long-term agreement with GotSoccer, which has developed soccer-specific software since 1996 and provides a full suite of registration and club, organization, league and tournament management solutions.

Starting with the 2021-22 registration year, US Club Soccer player and staff registration will take place in GotSoccer's GotSport platform.

Please frequent this web page for updates throughout the transition.

Transition FAQs

  1. What is the difference between GotSoccer and GotSport?
GotSoccer is the technology vendor's company name, and it is also sometimes used to refer to the original/legacy platform (now GotSoccer Legacy), which is being phased out. GotSport is GotSoccer's newer platform, which will be used for US Club Soccer registration.
  2. Is training available for org admins/registrars?
Yes. Org admins may now register for Phase 1 online training sessions or view a previously recorded session via the Welcome to GotSport onboarding web page. One-on-one training opportunities will also be available, but we recommend that you first attend a scheduled Phase 1 online training session.
  3. Will players and staff in the National Registration System, powered by SportEngine, be migrated into GotSport?
Yes. Players and staff registered in 2019-20 and 2020-21 are currently being loaded into a "holding table" in each member org's account in GotSport.

From there, an org administrator has three options: 1) Click a button to automatically load all of those individuals into the org's account; 2) Download the file in .csv format, remove or add or revise information for individuals, and import it into the org's account; or 3) Do nothing with the data in the "holding table" and instead start with a fresh import directly from the registration system used by the member org. [Help article link forthcoming]

The previously completed registration requirements, (ex: proof of birth verification; background screening, etc.) and duration of staff memberships (ex: 2020-22) will be recognized when applicable.

The players and staff being loaded now include those registered with US Club Soccer through the end of January. We anticipate additional players and staff being added in mid-May and early August to capture those who register between February 1 and July 31, 2021.

Please note that individuals may appear more than once in the "holding table" if, for example, a passcard/registration was purchased in both 2019-20 and 2020-21. When loading the players into the org's account (via option "1" above), the GotSport platform will automatically consolidate those duplicate records into one account for that individual.

Headshot photos in SportsEngine will not be included in GotSport.
  4. How does one access the GotSport platform?

    • Log in to your account if you have existing GotSport credentials. If you don’t have existing GotSport credentials or are otherwise having trouble logging in, please click “Forgot Password?” and complete that process.
